I am obsessively organized. I think of anything in advance and anticipate any possible situations. Rarely does something surprise me. And it has been like that since I recall.
Everything in my life was planned and my life is still the same; many short-term plans, a few mid-term plans and a couple of long-term plans.
But I have never lived at the present moment. Today is “the future of my past”. What I am doing now is what I decided to do long time ago.
Many other things hold me off being free; run-away thoughts, unfinished past experiences, good or bad memories, culture and family connections, social bonds, the values and beliefs I was raised with, works I have to do next week, mortgage, …
I am preoccupied. It can be good, it can be bad.

very good post Pezhman! good sunject and graet way of conveying your thoughts!
I say it's good for some situations and bad for some other situations. I wish we could be selective in this: plan ahead and be organized about some things, and live atthe moment and don't plan for some stuff.
Well Golnaz, I know you'll hate me now if I say that what you are right now, you don't owe it to landmark!
what is landmark?
mortgage ....rrrrrr:-S
don't know why this word scares me (i mean the sound of it, not the meaning).
Well... that's good, being so organized means you decide about everything in your life. I wonder if you can also feel it. I mean, it's certainly great to be so organized, and you would have a really fruitfull life, but at the same time, there is a certain sense of freedom in living at present.
You should try it every now and then: Letting the flow of life pass and experience it, as it is, not as you anticipate it. Otherwise how would you know what's it all about to decide about it?
loved your comment Siamak!
oh, Leili, you also have similar fear about mortgage?
honey, I don't have enough money to pay my bills! :))) let alone thinking about mortgage!
and truthfuly the idea of settling down is not very attractive to me now, but I know I should think about it at some point!
I meant that I loved your (Siamak's) comment ;-)
Hi Pezhman and others. Do I know any body else here?
I don't see the conflict between being organized and living at the moment. But hey, this is me. May be I don't know what being organized realy means. But what matters is if that works for you. I know people who hate to be organized and some who think they die if they are not. It is a choice.
Somebody asked what Landmark is. It is a three and a half day course that gives you access to whatever you want for yourself or your life. The way it works is by dealing with the past. There are lots of ways to achieve that and "Landmarked" people don't owe it to Landmark as Leili said. But the course realy works.
hi big sheep! :)) thanks for reading the posts here. I read your weblog once in a while. I wish you would contribute here too! maybe put some of the posts you like more here as well? or share some of your wedding plans here ;-)
I think you do have a point here. It is a personal choice. The problem is sometimes we look at other people and we want to have what they have. But we fail to see everything comes with a price. As long as we are clear about that it should be fine!
