Words that changed a nation.

I have a dream ...

I too have a dream today.
I have a dream that one day justice is no longer a luxury but a must.
And I am going to do anything within my power to see that dream come true.

while i truly appreciate and respect your very americal idealised dream; well, allow me to predict that it's not going to materialise at any time

let me add that this dream of yours, is more like a posh gesture one makes to show something. I'm not sure what though.

Justice for everyone is impractical and unnecessary. It's not even "just".

My brother in law, Mohammad Amin, at the age of 18 has a dream,
In his dream, he wishes that Persian not be recognized as “Terrorist” whenever they take international flights, …
I tell him that we need a lot of changes in the world till that day comes
He smiles…

the problem is defining justice in different societies. hence the unfairness we can see in the ways people deal with each other and in the ways governments treat their people.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Justice

still, I think it is the most important thing and should be the primary focus.

Mehrdad, I hope your 18 years old brother in law does not give up his dream. that's the only way for it to come true.

don't you think it might be a wee bit difficult to focus on something there's no single acceptable defintion/perception of which between men?
you want to focus, please do on more fundamental / less desputable problems like hunger, health and education. Once you solve these ones, fancier issues like justice or development will sort themselves out.

now, I think you are talking about 'social justice' AliReza. which I think is better achieved in Scandinavian countries than in USA or Iran or ... so, it's part of the whole thing.

there is nothing wrong with trying to have a better definition for fundamental issues while fixing the already known and detailed problems. I think that's how law has been improved through out the history of mankind.

you want to do something good? stop focusing on justice and just sponsor a child in the 3rd world to go to school, or buy a goat for a family in sub-saharan africa ...

I don't think I can agree with you on that!

Problem: Some people are deprived of their very basic needs of living.

Approach 1: Charity.

Approach 2: Social security.

I'll definitely go for the 2nd approach, because

1. Personally I feel the idea that the life of some people should be based on the generosity of others is so disgraceful and barbaric.

2. If you always rely on charity, the story will never end. The rich will get richer and the poor will get poorer and more dependent on the "kindness" of the rich.

3. After all, what is the use of a society if it doesn't provide its members with the basics of living?! or if it doesn't protect them from the difficulties of managing a life single-handed?!

Once in while I start working on a puzzles with my family as fun. The beginning is always easier than the ending, just need to start from four corners and find the right piece, but it gets harder and harder as we progress and laying out the last 1% of pieces get 99% of the time!
Sometimes I try to cheat by pushing the wrong pieces to empty spaces, turning it and pretending that it works. What I end up with is a colorful picture that has no beauty plus damage pieces that are not good any more.
The world we are living is like that puzzle, by one difference,
We forced the wrong pieces to wrong places from beginning,
And what we end up with is a world that has no shape, …
A beautiful picture from outside but ugly face inside,…
People with happy successful mask outside, physically or mentally damaged inside, …
No wonder we won’t get satisfy, even if we are a Hollywood star, …
No wonder it doesn’t work, no wonder we struggle, …
No wonder we are lost in the closed loop of poverty and justice,…
But once a friend told me that he believes, and his believe gives him hope to survive,
He believes of blooming after the rain even in desert
Take care,

P.S. If it doesn’t make sense, I am sorry, it usually happen when I am shuffling food into my mouth in my one hour lunch break while trying to write about the problem of the world!
